Backdrop styles and size

Posted on October 25, 2010 | 2 Comments

One of the things that you should absolutely request when inquiring about backdrop designs are the size of the backdrop that you are getting quoted for.

A floor to ceiling backdrop will give you the ultimate design effect for your reception. I always tell my brides that the first thing people notice when they walk in to your decorated hall is the DECOR!  A venue with HUGH ceilings requie a HUGE backdrop.

Some of the venues that will need a floor to ceiling backdrop are:

Paramount Event Center (Woodbridge)

Royal Ambassador (Caledon)

Royalton Banquet Hall (Woodbridge)

Montecassino (Chesswood)

West River (Concord)

Bellagio (Concord)

Some venues have a bulk head and although their “ceilings” are quit high, the area in which the backdrop may go, may only need to be about 14ft. Such venues are La Primavera in Woodbridge and The Terrace Banquet Hall.

An experience decorator should know right off the bat which venues require the high backdrops. Don’t be dissapointed the day of your wedding – ask the right questions when meeting with your designer.

Have a great day!
