Thanksgiving weekend was a long weekend for us. We were all over the GTA including Paramount Event Venue, Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall and Villa Colombo Banquet Hall.
They say that 10-10-10 was one of the luckiest days to get married – almost as lucky as 07-07-07 which I remember as if it were yesterday. My opinion to anyone getting married on a “lucky” day, book your vendors early. These dates get booked up quickly.
Here are some pics from that day:
First up: Paramount – Eastwood Room – If you’re getting married at this venue, please, please request a floor to ceiling backdrop! The room just doesn’t look finished without a backdrop that reaches the top – it truly makes a difference in pictures 🙂
Next up: Villa Colombo – It was our first time here and to be honest with you I didn’t even know that this place exhisted. It was a quaint and modest facility which is part of an old age home. It was actually quite tranquil and calming working here.
The head table was set up in a non traditional manner but with 12 people in the bridal party, the bride wanted to make the head table as cozy as possible.
Cyrstal Fountain – My Big Fat Greek Wedding on 10-10-10
Well, Greeks definitely know how to party! Being Greek myself I didn’t mind waiting till 3am to take down the decor….the band was fantastic and the music just kept going and going and going……lol
It was a black and white affair which is surprising for Greeks….it’s a no no to have any black whether it be in the bridesmaids dresses or decor. But black and white colour schemes are definitely in and hot for 2010 and 2011!
